#dungeon25 June location; Emerald Spire of the Dragon-Knight

Emerald Spire of the Dragon-Knight

A tall, tapering, and deep green tower rises out of the forest and looms about 30 feet over the tree tops. Partially a natural hill of granite and partially worked to a livable tower. It is now covered in moss from the centuries it has stood here.

3 key features or aspects

  1. Moss covered: the spire is an ancient structure that works with nature and over time has been mostly covered with moss.
  2. Reaching skyward: The spire reaches high into the sky, 30ft or more past the tree line.
  3. Labyrinthine Forest: The forest around the tower shapes and bends itself to keep unwanted visitors away or misdirect enemies.

Historical layer

Once this tower was the home to a great drudic order before they fell to a dark wizard’s machinations and experiments. Some magical beasts and experiments still roam the woods.

Secrets or clues

  1. Legend says the first teardrop bush was a human cursed to be a berry bush by a god when he flirted with the god’s favored follower.
  2. Chaos ironflowers grow on rocky outcrops that are known to have metal ore veins.
  3. The drudic order crafted a magical barrier around their spire long ago to prevent outsiders from entering easily. This caused the deep forest areas to shift and turn magically to confuse and disorient travelers.
