Living Bluffs of the Bronze Rods

Bluffs that seen to have constant storms and lightning strikes. Butted up against a fast flowing river with a steep cliff on one side and a forest that thins up the bluff that gives way to an area filled with odd bronze rods stuck into the ground.

3 key features or aspects

  1. Bronze rods: Odd rods of bronze that seem to grow from the ground. They cause storms to more frequently appear and attract lightning strikes to them.
  2. Storm Giant Outpost: a 70ft tall outpost for storm giants that they use to watch out for anyone trying to dig up the bones of the blue dragons.
  3. Storm elementals: among the bronze rods the lightning and mists tap into the elemental plane of air and cause air elementals to take on the appearance of small and angry storm clouds. They get weaker the farther down the bluff they get. Eventually they fade back to fog and mist.

Historical layer

A long forgotten battlefield between storm giants and blue dragons. The bronze rods were a way for the giants to trap the dragons and pin them to the ground. Digging down under a bronze rod might reveal dragon bones.
